Accessibility Statement
1. Accessibility Statement
The University of Graz is constantly striving to ensure that its website complies with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG), as amended, for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016, on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327 of December 2, 2016, p. 1).
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.uni-graz.at.
2. Status of Compliance with Requirements
The University of Graz is currently in the process of completely revamping its website—accessibility is already an integral part of the development process.
Therefore, the content regarding the assessment of (non-)accessible content will be subject to constant change in the near future.
3. Creation of this accessibility statement
This statement was created on May 10, 2023, and is continuously updated.
The assessment of the website’s compliance with the WZG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 according to WCAG 2.0 at Conformity Level AA will be conducted by early March 2024 in the form of a self-assessment using the “think aloud” method with a large number of university staff members.
4. Feedback and Contact Information
The content and technical infrastructure of the website are continuously being developed. Usability and accessibility are of great importance to us.
If you notice any barriers that prevent you from using our website, please notify us via email.
Please send all reports and suggestions to webredaktion(at)uni-graz.at with the subject line “Report of a barrier on the uni-graz.at website.” Please describe the problem and provide the URL(s) of the affected webpage or document.
5. Enforcement Procedures
If you are not satisfied with the responses received through the contact options listed above, you may file a complaint with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form.
Complaints Office Contact Form
The FFG reviews complaints to determine whether they pertain to violations of the Web Accessibility Act, particularly failures to comply with accessibility requirements, by the Federal Government or an institution under its jurisdiction.
If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the relevant legal entities and propose measures to remedy the existing deficiencies.
